According to the Secretariat of the World Nomad Games, the relay is being held as part of preparations for the F1H2O World Championship, which will be held on Issyk-Kul Lake for the first time in history and is expected to become one of the largest international sporting events in Central Asia.
The main goal of the project is to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle, develop sports tourism, strengthen friendship among nations, and showcase the country’s tourism potential on the international stage.
The championship flag will travel across all regions of Kyrgyzstan as well as several Central Asian countries. The total distance of the relay will exceed 3,000 kilometers. Meetings with athletes, youth, and local communities, as well as sports and environmental campaigns dedicated to the upcoming championship, are planned in each region.
Artem Samsonov has been appointed head of the relay. The chief ambassador of the project is swimmer Vladislav Shuliko, who represents the initiative in the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian countries while promoting the values of sports, healthy living, and international cooperation among young people and the sports community.
According to the organizers, after Batken region the relay will continue through other regions of the country.
The final point of the route will be the opening ceremony of the F1H2O Grand Prix of Kyrgyzstan Issyk-Kul 2026 on Issyk-Kul Lake, where the flag will be ceremonially raised above the race course in the presence of athletes, honored guests, spectators, and media representatives.
