According to him, the country’s president provided direct support to Abdumalik Bekzat in obtaining Kyrgyzstan’s citizenship.

«At one time, due to complex historical events, some descendants of our ancestors were forced to remain outside their homeland. Today, their return to their roots and their people should be viewed as the restoration of historical justice,» the deputy wrote.

Abdumalik Bekzat is the grandson of Abdyldabek, the eldest son of Alymbek Datka and Kurmanjan Datka. A year ago, he arrived in Kyrgyzstan and became one of the first representatives of this branch of the family to return to their historical homeland.

According to historical records, Abdyldabek Alymbek uulu was born in 1837. He was the ruler (bek) of Osh and the Osh vilayat, and for his services to the people and the khanate, he received the title «datka» from the Kokand ruler Kudayar Khan.

It is known that Abdyldabek actively participated in the struggle for independence, supporting Pulat Khan in the uprising against the colonization of Central Asia by the Russian Empire in 1875–1876. After the uprising was crushed, he was forced to retreat to the Alay Mountains and later emigrated to Afghanistan, where he died. Historical records of his life remained fragmentary for a long time.
