Experts are checking the products for compliance with safety requirements.

Rapid testing using a nitrate meter was conducted in Ak-Suu district, while in Jeti-Oguz district, monitoring was carried out at Ak-Zhalga CJSC and at two collection points.

Inspectors are checking for the presence of veterinary documents and certificates, compliance with nitrate content standards, and the storage and distribution conditions of fruits and vegetables.

Samples are also being collected locally for additional testing.

Earlier, Raila Kabylova, chief specialist of the ministry’s external plant quarantine department, reported that Kyrgyzstan lacks sufficient equipment to measure nitrate levels in plant products.
