In Kaiyndy area of the Syrt Valley in Ak-Suu district, a sharp rise in the water level washed away a wooden bridge over Kaiyndy River.
As a result, eight foreign nationals and four passenger vehicles were stranded at a mountain pasture (jailoo). They were temporarily accommodated at the home of a local shepherd. No injuries were reported. Emergency service and civil protection personnel from Ak-Suu district are working at the scene.
Later, in Ton district, floodwaters washed out a section of the temporary Balykchy—Bokonbayevo—Barskoon road at the 110th kilometer. An emergency response team, an excavator, and six dump trucks were deployed to repair the damage, and traffic has since been restored.
The severe weather conditions also affected the Balykchy—Bokonbayevo—Karakol road between the 207th and 208th kilometers near the village of Konkino. Overflowing irrigation canals caused water to spill onto the roadway, washing away about 10 meters of the road surface.
Employees of the Jeti-Oguz District Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations quickly cleared the road, allowing vehicles to pass one at a time. An excavator, a loader, and a dump truck were brought in to repair the damaged section. Restoration work continues, and the road remains open to traffic.
