According to the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan for Talas region, the operation on the ground is being coordinated by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the region Ermat Zhumaev, head of the Department of Internal Affairs in Talas region Baktybek Narchaev, and Acting Head of the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan for Talas region, Nurlis Torokulov. They also met with local residents to discuss the ongoing search efforts.

On June 23, a resident of Talas district, B.T., 16, was swept away by Talas River current while swimming.
