This year’s festival theme is «Snow Leopard: Eco-Education — the Foundation for a Sustainable Future of Kyrgyzstan.»
The festival aims to raise environmental awareness, develop eco-education, promote sustainable nature tourism, and draw public attention to the conservation of the snow leopard—the national symbol of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The festival is organized by the Ilbirs — Green Generation Public Foundation, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Secretariat of the Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection Program, and local governments.
Particular attention will be paid to youth. The festival will feature performances by the winners of the student competitions «Snow Leopard and Youth — Protecting Nature» and BARS FASHION 2026 — Best Snow Leopard Costume, as well as a prize presentation ceremony.
The festival grounds will include parallel thematic zones: eco-product exhibitions, a snow leopard art zone, a painting and photography exhibition, a children’s drawing competition, ecology and ethnic workshops, an archery zone, a Kurosh wrestling zone, a Snow Leopard Leap competition, a stunt show, a taigan show, and other activities.
The festival aims to demonstrate that environmental education is not only about knowledge about nature but also about the practical development of responsibility, a culture of respect for the environment, and a willingness to take action. Through educational, cultural, creative, and interactive formats, participants will learn more about the snow leopard, mountain ecosystems, and the personal contribution each person makes to nature conservation.
