Kyrgyzfarmatsiya was established in March 2023 to improve the availability of medicines in public hospitals. However, patients have repeatedly reported problems.

According to Order No. 1 of the Ministry of Health dated January 1, 2026, the state enterprise centrally procures 191 medications. Medical institutions may purchase any medications not included in this list independently.
