- Министр выступил на ежегодной встрече Евразийского банка развития в Алматы.
Speaking at the forum, he stated that Kyrgyzstan maintains high rates of economic growth and intends to sustain them in the long term.
He noted that despite ongoing uncertainty in the global economy, the country has demonstrated sustainable development in recent years. From 2021 to 2025, average GDP growth was approximately 10 percent per year, one of the highest rates in the Eurasian region.
«High growth rates are being driven by expanding domestic demand, intensified investment activity, and the development of industrial production, construction, services, and foreign trade,» the minister said.
He noted that maintaining the current growth rate remains one of the state’s main objectives.
To achieve this goal, the authorities have identified four areas: industrial development, establishing Kyrgyzstan as a regional trade and logistics hub, unlocking the country’s energy potential, and developing sustainable tourism and organic agriculture.
According to Bakyt Sydykov, achieving these objectives will require significant investment and the participation of international financial institutions.
The EDB Annual Meeting and Business Forum are being held in Almaty and are dedicated to the bank’s 20th anniversary. The forum is focusing on the economic development prospects of the region’s countries, investment cooperation, and new areas of Eurasian integration.
