«The current capacity of 2 million cubic meters will be increased to 8.14 million cubic meters after the implementation of the new project. As a result, the area of ​​irrigated land, which currently stands at 3,000 hectares, will exceed 5,000 hectares,» Torobaev said.

He noted that the president has set a goal of building 106 reservoirs by 2030. Twelve of these projects are currently under construction, with another 29 in the planning stages.

According to Bakyt Torobaev, the main goal is the efficient use of water resources, expanding irrigated areas, and strengthening food security.
