According to him, additional greenery will be planted along the new road built as part of the reconstruction project.

«We plan to start landscaping in November. By next year, the new road will also be fully landscaped,» Mambetov said.

Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC, noted that efforts had been made during the airport reconstruction to preserve as much existing greenery as possible.

«But all the areas along the road where there is soil will be landscaped: we will lay lawns and plant seedlings,» he said.

Samidinov added that large seedlings are not planned to be planted now because of the summer heat. The main landscaping work will begin closer to autumn.
