According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on the evening of July 1, heavy rainfall caused canals to overflow, leading to flooding in several villages and the city of Cholpon-Ata. Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Almazbek Asanov is monitoring the situation on the ground.

In Cholpon-Ata, the water level in Aral-Sai River rose in the area of Bidzhai microdistrict. As a result, TNK Beton concrete plant and dormitories were flooded. Seven units of engineering equipment were deployed to address the damage, and the waterway was rerouted by 9:30 p.m.

Water also flooded the basement of a residential building on Talasskaya Street, as well as the courtyard of Archa Max guesthouse. Rescuers pumped out the water and eliminated the threat.

Later, at around 11:40 p.m., the grounds of Lukomorye resort were flooded. Emergency Ministry personnel evacuated 24 vacationers; no one was injured.

In the village of Chok-Tal, the bank of Chok-Tal River was washed away by rising water levels. Two excavators were deployed to shore up the area.

On the night of July 2, heavy rains also affected the village of Toru-Aigyr. Water flooded one street and the courtyards of six residential buildings. Rescuers and special equipment are working on the scene, pumping out water and cleaning the area.

Another rise in water levels occurred at around 3 a.m. in the village of Chon-Sary-Oi, where the Orto-Koy stream overflowed its banks. Emergency Ministry and road service personnel are on duty at the site, and work to prevent further flooding is ongoing.
