The document formalizes the transition to a 12-year school education system.

Under the new structure, levels of education will be distributed as follows: primary school — six years, basic education — three years, and upper secondary school — three years. Previously, the system followed a 4+5+2 structure.

The duration of the academic year has also been clarified. For students in the first to third levels of education, it will be at least 34 academic weeks, excluding state final examinations. For first-grade students, the school year will last 32 weeks, and for second-grade students — 33 weeks.

The duration of school breaks during the academic year will be at least 30 calendar days, while summer break will last at least 14 weeks.

Additional breaks for first-grade students remain in place at two weeks, while second-grade students will have an additional one-week break.

The resolution also allows for both five-day and six-day school weeks.
