As part of the visit, he took part in a meeting on the development of a regional investment portfolio of Batken region.

In his speech, Torobaev noted that 158 projects are currently being reviewed nationwide, covering agriculture, construction, tourism, addressing electricity shortages, and industrial development. He also stated that the collected projects will be divided into three categories—small, medium, and large—and presented to banks, funds, and investors.

The meeting was attended by the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in Batken region, Mamyrzhan Rakhimov, district heads, and city mayors, who presented projects from their respective territories.

The region’s head also informed participants about the planned creation of an international trade and economic park Dostuk. A master plan for the project has already been developed, providing for the establishment of the park in the border area between Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.

The 100-hectare complex is intended to strengthen regional integration, elevate cross-border cooperation, and contribute significantly to the economic growth of the region.

The main goal of the project is to promote unity, cooperation, and sustainable development among the three countries, strengthen trade and logistics links, and create new economic opportunities through the attraction of international investment.
