According to the ministry, 20 new schools are being built simultaneously in the capital, designed to accommodate thousands of students.

Together with heads of relevant departments, the minister visited four education facilities under construction: a new school for 750 students in Dostuk village, an additional building for 750 students for school No. 94 in Dordoi residential area, a 650-seat extension for school No. 86 in Kalys-Ordo residential area, and a 1,200-student school on Sadygaliev Street in Pervomaisky district.

During the inspection, the minister reviewed construction progress, instructed contractors to promptly eliminate identified shortcomings, demanded an increase in the number of workers at construction sites, and called for accelerating construction rates while ensuring strict quality control at all stages. Oruntaev emphasized that all facilities must be completed on schedule and commissioned by the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.

The Ministry of Construction noted that, following an instruction from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, construction of 20 new schools in Bishkek began in February 2026. Work is currently underway at all sites.

The projects are being implemented by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services and are financed from the national budget.
