According to the ministry, the new head was introduced to the staff on May 22 by Construction Minister Nurdan Oruntaev.

He wished Zhyrgalbek Medetkanov success in his new position and emphasized the importance of high-quality and timely completion of construction works, compliance with state requirements, as well as the development of affordable housing and the construction of social facilities.

Prior to his appointment, Zhyrgalbek Medetkanov served as deputy director of the same department.

He has been working in the construction sector since 2008, starting his career as an engineer.
