Rise in female crime and profile of offenders

Criminal statistics record a sharp change in gender composition: the number of women who violated the law jumped by 31.8 percent — to 1,077.

Male crime increased by 15 percent — law enforcers identified 6,633 offenders.

The majority of offenders are still citizens aged 29 and older — 4,810 people. The economic status of most offenders remains unchanged — 5,101 people (or 66.2 percent) were neither employed nor studying at the time of arrest.

Juvenile crime and children a s victims

Teenagers aged from 14 to 17 committed 315 crimes, which is 35.6 percent lower than last year’s level. The most common offenses are theft (33.7 percent), robbery (19.4 percent), and vehicle theft (9.5 percent).

At the same time, the issue of child safety has sharply worsened. Over four months, 487 minors became victims of criminal acts. As a result of criminal activity, 19 children died and 110 sustained injuries.

Most often, minors became victims of theft (19.7 percent). Particularly concerning are offenses against sexual integrity: acts of a sexual nature involving children under 16 accounted for 13.3 percent of cases, while rape accounted for 11.3 percent.

The most dangerous region for children was Bishkek, where 27.9 percent of such crimes occurred.

Impact on vulnerable groups: Women and pensioners

Law enforcement agencies registered 4,473 crimes against women. The main impact was in the capital — 47.5 percent of attacks and fraud cases occurred in Bishkek. Nearly half of female victims (49.9 percent) were affected by fraud, while 24.1 percent suffered theft.

A similar pattern is observed among elderly citizens.

Authorities recorded 699 crimes against pensioners. The main tool used by criminals is deception: fraud accounted for 48.8 percent of cases.

Another 8.3 percent of cases is linked to a new criminal scheme — the intentional transfer or sale of electronic wallets, SIM cards, and payment instruments to third parties. Geographically, elderly people most often suffered in Bishkek (32.8 percent) and Chui region (14.2 percent).
