For comparison, about 3.74 million textbooks were published in Kyrgyzstan over the preceding eight years. At least 856.5 million soms were allocated from the republican budget for printing educational literature in 2025.

The increase in print runs is partly linked to Kyrgyzstan’s transition to a 12-year school education system. For the new curricula, simply reprinting old textbooks is not sufficient; new textbook packages have to be developed to meet revised standards and subject content.

According to the report, more than 1.9 million English-language textbooks have already been published for grades 3–9, along with more than 1.5 million mathematics textbooks for grades 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7, and more than 1.2 million natural science textbooks for grades 1, 2, 5 and 7.

More than 90,000 copies of Alippe have also been printed.
