The plant plans to source 90 percent of the required raw materials from local deposits in southern Kyrgyzstan. This will help reduce imports and make greater use of domestic resources.

The facility is expected to create 70 permanent jobs. About 100 people are currently involved in construction work.

According to the regional administration, once the plant reaches full capacity, around 200 million soms in taxes, social contributions and other mandatory payments will be contributed annually to the national and local budgets.

Today, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in Osh region Amankan Kenzhebaev visited the facility and reviewed the progress of construction. He also visited Aravan cement plant, where he familiarized himself with its production capacity and the facility’s impact on the district’s economy.
