The quota for this year has been set at 15,000 electric motor vehicles for Kyrgyzstan. The preferential regime applies to electric vehicles classified under EAEU Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature codes 8703 80 000 3 and 8703 80 000 5.

According to the online counter of the State Customs Service, 14,014 quota units have already been used, leaving only 986 remaining. The counter updates automatically during customs clearance of electric vehicles imported under the preferential regime.

Once the quota is fully exhausted, imported electric vehicles entering the Kyrgyz Republic will be subject to an import duty of 15 percent of the customs value.

The State Customs Service reminded importers to take this into account when planning shipments of electric vehicles.

In 2025, Kyrgyzstan’s quota stood at 10,000 electric vehicles. That limit was reached by the end of September.
