The statement was published on social media by presidential press secretary Askat Alagozov.

The statement notes that the Kyrgyz side expresses gratitude to all participants in the negotiation process, including Pakistan, a member state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, for their active mediation efforts.

«We express our appreciation to all parties involved, including SCO member state Pakistan, for their active mediation efforts, as well as to all affected parties for demonstrating restraint, which contributed to achieving this result,» the statement reads.

Kyrgyzstan also reaffirmed its consistent position in support of resolving international disputes exclusively through political and diplomatic means, based on the United Nations Charter and principles of international law.

The statement expressed hope that the official signing of the agreement will contribute to the establishment of sustainable and long-term peace in the region.

Earlier today, Iran and the United States signed a preliminary peace agreement in the form of a 60-day Memorandum of Understanding. U.S. President Donald Trump and the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced the agreement. The document provides for a cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon, a phased lifting of sanctions against Tehran, and the creation of a recovery fund for Iran. The parties plan to hold talks over the next two months to prepare a final peace agreement.
