Previously, since April 2025, Iminov headed the National Investment Agency under the President.

Farkhat Iminov was born on July 8, 1975. He is a financier and a specialist in accounting and credit. Over the years, he has been involved in entrepreneurial activity and served as a member of the Bishkek City Council and the Zhogorku Kenesh of the 6th convocation, where he served on the Budget and Finance Committee.

At the end of May, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree establishing the National Agency for Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies.

The new agency was created within the Secretariat of the National Council for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies. The agency became the authorized body for the implementation of state policy and regulation of this area.
