According to the municipality’s press service, during the meeting, the mayor congratulated the wrestler on his outstanding athletic achievements and wished him continued success in upcoming international competitions. Akzhol Makhmudov, in turn, expressed gratitude for the support and assured that he will continue to make every effort to raise the flag of Kyrgyzstan high on the world stage.

At the end of the meeting, the mayor presented the athlete with a cash certificate for 100,000 soms. His coach, Meirambek Akhmetov, was awarded a certificate for 50,000 soms.

Furthermore, Zhanarbek Akayev announced that a major sporting event with participation of Akzhol Makhmudov is planned in Osh in the coming months.
