As noted, according to Article 462 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan, such violations include shouting, whistling, loud singing, playing musical instruments, using sound-amplifying equipment, as well as the operation of machinery and equipment that creates noise and interferes with the rest of citizens.
Particular attention is paid to maintaining silence in residential buildings and dormitories at night – from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Administrative penalties are provided for such violations. For individuals, this includes a warning or a fine of 2 to 3 times the minimum monthly wage; for officials, 5 to 7 times the minimum monthly wage; and for legal entities, a warning or a fine of 10 to 20 times the minimum monthly wage.
In addition, fines are provided for distributing discs, cassettes, and other media with extremist or offensive content in public places: for individuals – from 3 to 5 calculated indicators, for officials – from 5 to 8.
If similar offenses are repeated within a year, penalties are increased. For individuals, the fine ranges from 5 to 7 calculated units, for officials from 10 to 15 calculated units, and for legal entities from 20 to 30 calculated units.
