The decree was signed by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev. The document confirms the new name both for the company itself and for the previously adopted decree establishing it.

Kyrgyz Sputnik OJSC was established in February 2026. The founder was the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, and 100 percent of the company’s shares are state-owned.

When the company was established, authorities declared that it would become the operator of space technologies in Kyrgyzstan. Its main objectives included obtaining and processing satellite images, monitoring agricultural land, monitoring climate change and the environmental situation, controlling water resources, preventing emergencies, and participating in geological exploration.

The company’s authorized capital was 100,000 soms. The enterprise was planned to be based in Karakol.

Now, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry has been instructed to re-register the joint-stock company with the justice authorities, align its decisions with the new name, and complete other organizational procedures.

The reasons for the name change are not explained in the resolution. Moreover, the company itself has not yet presented any completed space projects or satellite launches to the public.

The resolution will take effect in seven days.
