According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the event was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Germany and Zimbabwe, as well as heads and members of diplomatic missions of states accredited to the UN.

Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, international law, peaceful settlement of disputes, preventive diplomacy, and the strengthening of multilateral cooperation.

He noted that the country has a firm determination to contribute to the maintenance of international peace and security. Kulubaev stressed that peace is not a given but requires daily work, dialogue, patience, mutual respect, and the ability to listen to one another.

The Foreign Minister also outlined Kyrgyzstan’s key priorities in the event of its election to the UN Security Council, including the promotion of a sustainable peace agenda, preventive diplomacy, protection of vulnerable groups, climate security, and strengthening trust between states.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of ensuring fair and inclusive representation in the Security Council. The minister emphasized that the strength of the Council lies in its diversity and its ability to reflect the voices of all states — large and small, experienced and new, regional and global.

The head of the Foreign Ministry noted that, if trusted by the international community, Kyrgyzstan would act as a bridge-building state, a reliable partner committed to international law, the UN Charter, and the dignity of every individual.

In conclusion, the minister expressed gratitude to UN member states for their trust in the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic and called on partners to support the country in the elections.
