According to the results of March 2026, Tajikistan ranked 117th out of 153 countries in terms of fixed, or wired, internet speed, improving its position by four places compared to the previous month.

The average download speed in the country was 45.10 Mbps, while the upload speed was 38.30 Mbps.

Singapore topped the global rankings in March with a median download speed of 425.46 Mbps. The top three also included the United Arab Emirates with 384.51 Mbps and Hong Kong with 352.40 Mbps.

Among Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan ranked highest, placing 75th with an average speed of 93.35 Mbps. It was followed by Kazakhstan in 86th place (88.10 Mbps) and Kyrgyzstan in 87th place (87.14 Mbps). Turkmenistan is not included in the ranking.

Despite the positive trend, residents of the country still frequently complain about slow internet speeds, especially mobile ones. It is noted that the rating data reflects average indicators and does not always reflect actual user experience, particularly in the regions.

Furthermore, the Speedtest Global Index has lacked mobile internet speed data for almost a year.
