According to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the newly formed council will become a permanent platform for direct business dialogue, organizing business missions, and promoting joint projects.
The forum was attended by businesses from both countries, as well as heads of government agencies, industry associations, and enterprises.
Temir Sariev noted that Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan have the potential to expand economic cooperation. In 2024, Kyrgyz exports to Afghanistan exceeded $50.4 million.
Afghans are showing interest in cooperation in trade, agriculture, food processing, construction, logistics, and joint investment projects.
The establishment of the Business Council should help increase trade, attract investment, and expand direct contacts between entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan, Temir Sariev noted.
