Couples will be able to plant a tree on their wedding day or shortly afterward in one of the capital’s parks, mini parks, or other public spaces. According to the organizers, the tree will symbolize the new family while also contributing to the greening of the city.

To participate in the project, couples have to submit an application at least two weeks before their chosen date through the «Plant a Tree for Newlyweds» section on the official Bishkek City Hall website or by calling 0880005123. Newlyweds will be able to choose the date, time, and district for planting, after which payment can be made via QR code.

The organizers have also introduced gift certificates for tree planting, allowing the experience to be presented as a wedding gift. The first five couples to apply will receive saplings free of charge.

Participation costs vary by season. Planting saplings with a closed root system between April 10 and October 25 will cost 15,500 soms, while planting saplings with an open root system in spring and autumn will cost 7,800 soms.

Maples, birches, lindens, catalpas, horse chestnuts, and other tree species will be used for planting. Specialists will determine the specific species based on the selected location. Participants may also purchase their own sapling, provided it meets the established requirements.

The planted trees will be placed in areas equipped with irrigation systems and will continue to be maintained by municipal services.
