The document was adopted to implement the Law «On Public Health» and is aimed at supporting patients with incurable diseases who require pain relief and improved quality of life.

Under the new regulation, citizens with severe terminal conditions will be able to receive narcotic and other analgesic medications free of charge as part of palliative care services.

Funding will be provided through the budget allocated to the Ministry of Health, as well as other sources not prohibited by law.

The Ministry of Health has been instructed to take the necessary steps to implement the new procedure.

The resolution will enter into force in 10 days.
