The Transport and Communications Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Talantbek Soltobaev, made the announcement as part of the Open Cabinet media project.

Photo Internet According to him, a feasibility study for the project is currently being developed, and implementation mechanisms are planned to be determined this year.

Following the completion of the first stage, authorities intend to begin construction of Cholpon-Ata-Karakol railway line.

The new railway is expected to improve the transport infrastructure ofeIssyk-Kul region, enhance the region’s tourism appeal, and expand passenger and cargo transportation capabilities.

The announcement was made during the minister’s working visit to transport facilities as part of the Open Cabinet: Area of Responsibility project.
