The expedition route will pass through Almaty, Taldykorgan, Semey, Barnaul, and the Altai Mountains before continuing on to Mongolia. The total distance of the journey is approximately 8,000 kilometers, and the expedition is expected to last 30 days.

According to the organizers, the main goal of the expedition is to explore the historical and cultural heritage of the Great Nomadic Route, strengthen friendly ties between fraternal peoples, and promote tourism.
