It was clarified that the proposal to develop a draft agreement to create a unified textile cluster of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states was unanimously supported by the participants of the SCO Industry Ministers’ meeting, which concluded in Cholpon-Ata.

According to Bakyt Sydykov, Deputy Cabinet Chairman and head of the relevant department, the meeting was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere and resulted in agreements on the further development of industrial cooperation and technological partnership.

«Today, industrial cooperation within the SCO is reaching a qualitatively new level. The agreements reached create a solid foundation for the implementation of joint production projects, expanding technological exchange, developing logistics ties, and enhancing the competitiveness of national economies,» he said.

The parties agreed to intensify industrial cooperation, develop interaction between industrial parks and special economic zones, expand the exchange of advanced technologies and experience in implementing high-tech projects, and promote the development of environmentally sustainable and resource-efficient industry.
