According to the press service, Speaker Marlen Mamataliev on June 4 affixed his electronic signature to a law passed by the Zhogorku Kenesh and sent it to the president for consideration, thereby launching another stage of parliament digitalization efforts.

From now on, draft laws and accompanying documents will be submitted to parliament in electronic format. Adopted documents will be signed electronically and forwarded to the president. Relevant amendments have been introduced to the Zhogorku Kenesh regulations.

Earlier, the parliament introduced the possibility for interested parties to participate online in committee meetings on issues under consideration, and this practice is now being implemented on a permanent basis.

In addition, the work of the public reception office has also been fully digitalized. Artificial intelligence is being used to process citizens’ appeals submitted electronically.
