According to the ministry, the incident occurred on June 4 at Osor LLC mine. After the gas release, two workers remained underground.

Twelve rescuers were dispatched to the site. They descended to a depth of 240 meters and recovered the two miners, who had been poisoned by gas, and handed them over to medical personnel.

However, doctors pronounced both men dead at the scene. The victims were identified as residents of Sulyukta, aged 23 (M.A.) and 66 (I.D.).

The circumstances of the tragedy are under investigation.
