According to the Ministry of Health, the equipment includes an autorefractometer, pneumotonometer, slit lamp, A-B scanner, optical coherence tomography device, surgical microscope, phacoemulsification system, and a modern sterilizer. A total of eight units of high-tech equipment were donated to the hospital.

«This is a contactless tonometer. It allows us to measure intraocular pressure without direct contact with the patient’s eye,» ophthalmologist Adilet Aliev said, demonstrating one of the new devices.

He added that thanks to the equipment, residents of Osh region now have access to modern diagnostic and surgical treatment methods for eye diseases directly at the regional hospital within the public healthcare system.

«This is an important step in the development of ophthalmology services in Osh region. The new equipment will improve the quality of diagnostics and treatment for patients,» Adilet Aliev noted.
