Fish farming is one of the priority and steadily developing sectors of the country’s agricultural industry. The ministry said it is carrying out systematic work to develop aquaculture, introduce modern production methods, supply the domestic market with high-quality fish products, and expand the sector’s export potential.

Issyk-Kul region — 311.4 tons, 48 farms;

Naryn region — 243.5 tons, 34 farms;

Jalal-Abad region — 962.2 tons, 39 farms;

Talas region — 195.1 tons, 15 farms.

The highest production volume was recorded in Chui region. At the same time, Jalal-Abad region continues to demonstrate positive growth dynamics in the fish farming sector. These figures indicate the active development of aquaculture across the regions of the republic.
