The EEC Council approved an action plan for the implementation of the free trade agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia. Member states were recommended to expedite domestic procedures to ensure the document’s prompt entry into force.
A decision was also made regarding the EAEU technical regulation «On the Safety of Paints and Varnishes.» For Kyrgyzstan, this document will enter into force on January 1, 2032, allowing domestic producers to adapt to the new requirements.
Furthermore, the EEC granted the Kyrgyz Republic tariff benefits on the import of cocoa powder and finished food products containing cocoa for industrial processing in quantities of up to 300 tons. This will create additional conditions for the development of the confectionery industry.
Unified rules for the labeling of sports nutrition products in the EAEU countries have been approved, ensuring mutual recognition of labeling codes and simplifying product circulation within the Union market.
Special attention has been paid to expanding foreign economic cooperation. The EEC Council approved the creation of a study group to explore the possibility of concluding a free trade agreement with Pakistan, which opens up prospects for increasing exports of Kyrgyz products.
Furthermore, the EEC Board decided to increase import duties on LED lamps from 0 to 5 percent by the end of 2030.
