According to investigators, a 45-year-old city resident was engaged in entrepreneurial activity without state registration. Acting by prior arrangement with others, he organized the import of goods, including vehicles, to evade mandatory taxes.

It was established that between September 2024 and February 2026, the suspect imported more than 99 electric vehicles from China. The vehicles were registered in the names of individuals, including his wife, mother, and other relatives, and then sold.

According to investigators, this activity resulted in income of 16,153,747 somoni. However, unpaid taxes amounted to 1,423,497 somoni, causing significant damage to the state.

A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 1 of Article 259 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. Investigative actions are ongoing.
