The event took place on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence and was aimed at improving the public administration system and increasing the effectiveness of the implementation of strategic planning documents.

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade jointly with the State Institution “Research Economic Institute”.

The conference was chaired by Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, Minister of Economic Development and Trade. Participants included Shukuhiddin Abrori, Advisor to the Assistant to the President of Tajikistan on Economic Affairs; Parvati Ramaswamy, UN Resident Coordinator in Tajikistan and Co-Chair of the Development Coordination Council; Isabel Uris Hernandez, Representative of the European Union Delegation to Tajikistan; and Imai Seiju, Head of the JICA Office in Tajikistan.

During his speech, Abdurakhmonzoda noted that the country has established and strengthened the legal and methodological framework for its strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation system. He attributed this to state policies and measures implemented during the years of independence.

It was also emphasized that the further development of this system will be carried out in four key areas: strengthening human resources, integrating science and public administration, digitalizing processes, and implementing results-based management.
