According to the president, the events of February, which the public views as an attempted coup, were under his control from the very beginning. He noted that he had been aware of the so-called "letter of 75 people" from the very beginning and monitored its progress through parliament until it was submitted to the plenary session. The deputies who resigned after these events, he said, acknowledged their guilt.

When asked about the possible involvement of Kamchybek Tashiev, the previously suspended head of the State Committee for National Security, Japarov gave no definitive answer, citing the ongoing investigation. He did, however, report that Tashiev's brother, MP Shairbek Tashiev, is in custody. According to the investigation, he has been implicated in a corruption scheme at Kyrgyzneftegaz, which resulted in damages to the state of over four billion soms.

The President stressed that release is only possible with full compensation for damages, adding that the law must be the same for everyone.
