According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture’s press service, the sides discussed the development of cooperation in the agricultural sector.

In 2025, trade in agricultural products and food between the two countries increased by 25 percent. Positive growth has continued this year.

Russia is increasing supplies of sunflower oil, confectionery products, sugar, poultry and non-alcoholic beverages. In turn, Russia imports fruit, berries and other agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan.

The sides noted significant potential for further expanding mutual trade in agricultural products.

The development of scientific and technical cooperation also offers promising opportunities. Key areas include agricultural education and science, irrigation and land reclamation, breeding and seed production, livestock farming and veterinary medicine, as well as digitalization.
