According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, on August 12, Minister Talantbek Soltobaev met with Swiss Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kyrgyzstan Siroco Messerli.

During the meeting, it was noted that the signing of the agreement was an important step toward further developing transport cooperation between the two countries.

«The document establishes the necessary legal framework for international road transport between Kyrgyzstan and Switzerland, as well as for organizing transit transportation through the territories of the parties. This, in turn, is aimed at expanding transport cooperation, developing trade and economic ties, business and tourism, and increasing the mobility of citizens,» the Ministry of Transport said.

The new agreement is expected to contribute to the development of road transport and expand mutually beneficial transport cooperation between the two countries.
