The defendants in the case include Kamchybek Tashiev, former Prosecutor General Kurmankul Zulushev, former Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, and a number of former politicians.

They are accused of plotting a violent seizure of power and abuse of office.
