Osh Mayor Zhanar Akayev, municipal employees, and city residents participated in the event.

In preparation for the Games, one batyr and ten envoys were elected from Osh. The honorary title of batyr of the city was awarded to Akzhol Toktomushov, a candidate for master of sports in national wrestling and coach.

During the ceremony, he collected water from the source of Ak-Buura River in a special vessel, a kookor, and departed for Bishkek together with the envoys. The delegation will participate in the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games, which will take place on August 31 at the Bishkek Arena. The symbolic transfer of water from Osh will take place during the ceremony.

Organizers said that on the opening day of the Games, water collected from all seven regions of Kyrgyzstan will be combined into a single vessel. This symbolic ritual is intended to emphasize national unity, shared cultural values, and the country’s nomadic heritage.

The project aims to promote nomadic civilization, strengthen regional unity, and preserve national traditions.
