«We are currently in an intermediate stage between the blacklist and the whitelist. We have confirmed that we meet all EU aviation safety requirements, but now we must confirm this every six months for three years. One failed audit could have negative consequences,» the company’s press service reported.

Priority r outes — Germany and the United States

At the same time, Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC intends to intensify efforts to attract foreign air carriers and expand their flight geography.

The primary focus is planned on developing air service with Germany and the United States.

However, Kyrgyzstan remains open to cooperation with all foreign carriers interested in operating flights to the republic.

«A great deal of work now lies ahead to study demand for potential direct flights, including to European cities. Airlines need to understand the demand for such routes and their economic viability,» company representatives noted.

Work is also underway to develop the national carrier Asman Airlines. The company intends to begin negotiations with foreign airports and aviation authorities to launch its own international routes.

When the first flights to Europe are planned

Chairman of the Board of Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC Manas Samidinov said the company signed an agreement in March 2026 to purchase two Airbus A321 aircraft.

«We were confident in the success of the project to leave the blacklist, so we immediately acquired aircraft capable of operating flights to Europe. They will arrive in March 2027 and will become the flagships of Kyrgyzstan’s civil aviation. The aircraft will feature two-class cabin configurations and multimedia systems, offering a level of comfort currently unmatched by local airlines. As soon as the aircraft arrive, we will immediately launch flights to Germany,» Manas Samidinov said.

The company added that over the next five years it plans to expand the fleet with eight additional aircraft. As a result, the national carrier’s fleet is expected to grow to ten airplanes, enabling flights to a large number of international destinations, including Paris, London, Berlin, and other cities.
