According to him, Russia and Kyrgyzstan are linked by a shared history, long-standing cultural ties, and a strategic vision for the development of Eurasia. Sergei Vakunov noted that the personal interaction between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Sadyr Japarov plays an important role in the development of bilateral relations.

The Ambassador congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and stated that Russia has consistently supported the republic’s candidacy throughout this process.

The diplomat also highlighted cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. He recalled that the SCO summit, expected to be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will be held in Bishkek in August-September.

Sergei Vakunov also stated that the modern world is undergoing a profound transformation of international relations, with countries in the Global South and East becoming new centers of growth. He stated that Russia supports strengthening a multipolar world order and upholding the principles of international law.

Concluding his speech, the ambassador congratulated his compatriots and all guests at the reception on Russia Day, wishing them peace, prosperity, and success.
