According to him, this year’s forum will be held in Astana (at the end of May) as part of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship of the union’s bodies. The theme of this forum is «The EAEU in the Global Digital Race: Betting on Artificial Intelligence.»

Thirty sessions are planned in the capital of Kazakhstan, featuring officials and businesses from EAEU member countries and invited guests. A plenary session featuring the heads of state of the union is also planned. Discussions will cover digital trade, digital ecosystem development, transport, logistics, public procurement, and the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex.

On May 29, a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be held with the participation of the leaders of the union’s countries. Representatives of third countries, international organizations, and specialized UN agencies, including UNIDO and the UN Conference on Trade and Development, are expected to participate.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Economy, one of the key issues at the meeting will be the development of artificial intelligence within the EAEU. A joint statement by the heads of state on the responsible development of artificial intelligence is planned.

In addition, the meeting participants are expected to discuss expanding the EAEU’s trade and economic cooperation with countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, as well as hear a report on the 20-year activities of the Eurasian Development Bank.
